  1. Dear Joe,

    No changes to the formulation.

We changed the label designation to sage from Clary sage because of the EWG Skin Deep request for uniformity either using the generic common name of INCI. It is still Clary Sage although we are experimenting with Dalmatian sage that has higher efficacy levels in the beta-Thujone and alpha-Thujone output. This is a weak link area in Clary sage.

The label and bottle changes coincided with the move of our factory and a desire to unify the brand as well as standardize on fewer bottles. We also used the timing to upgrade the recyclability of our components.

For the scent difference, what you are sensing is our new work cell manufacturing process that makes at least three times more manufacturing runs per month than our previous factory. The new factory uses state-of-the-art machines that are designed to make many small runs very quickly. Our old factory was a hybrid of kin care and food processing. The new factory is based totally on food packaging and processing technology. So, what you are sensing is that the season is at peak for many of the ingredients and we have instituted a new freshness standard on our suppliers. Said, the scent of truly natural products always varies. It is one of the ways you know that it is natural.

Our continuous improvement model is based on efficacy and quality. We never short change ingredients. We also do not sell our products for a scent or scent impression.

I hope this helps to answer your questions and comments.

    Regards,

    Bob
